- This particular building seems to be geared towards visual and verbal learning styles. I would like for this particular section to be physical, verbal, and then visual.

- I love that you are thinking in terms of Sequence. This is an fundamental principle that separates poetic architecture from generic buildings.

- The scale of the farm to facility would need to be 80% farm, 20% facility.
Omar- There isn't much open land in the Arts District that can fit a great amount farm fields. One way to achieve that ratio would be by demolishing existing buildings and turning them into farm land. Another option is to incorporate the farm in the rooftop of the warehouse and create a green-roof condition (similar to this project by Renzo Piano, house of trees, and the holocaust museum) And the other option, which is a more ambitious proposition, is creating a bridge across the LA river and have the farm exist above the water. This can also create opportunities for parks and can connect the arts district to the neighborhood across the river.

Take that idea I proposed about the elevated farm hovering above the LA River and imagine if the farm ground was porous, in such a way that the water that feeds the plants would drip into the river.

- Solar Panel glass?
Omar- Have you seen the new solar panel tiles that Elon Musk invented at Tesla? It would be ideal if the entire warehouse can operate from solar energy, and better yet, if the warehouse can become a power plant that provides energy for the entire neighborhood. Arts District has a history of power outages dating back to when I first attended SCI-Arc. This idea could solve that problem.

The Highline is one of the most significant urban projects built in modern era. New York had always lacked public green space (hence "The concrete Jungle") until this was built. Arts District in LA has a similar problem, on a smaller scale, in the sense that most of the city fabric is comprised of buildings and no green space. Adding a farm to the Arts District would be a brilliant idea that would solve this problem and can connect programs and people together.
